These are the first of the combined encaustic, oil, and digital media that I began in 2003. The encaustic and oil paint were actually applied to fabric onto which the digital image had been iron-on transferred. The themes in some of them stem from some personal struggles I had recently overcome. Others are simply "eye-candy" that I was using to experiment with and learn about the encaustic wax.
